The Objectives of the Foundation are:-

  1. To provide a permanent centre dedicated to the life and works of Sir Henry Royce and his distinguished colleagues and successors.
  2. To acquire and preserve all archive material, records, photographs, artifacts and memorabilia pertaining to the above.
  3. To establish the facilities necessary to properly and securely store, maintain and display such material.
  4. To provide facilities for its study and research.
  5. To encourage and support apprentices, learners and young engineers in the pursuit of Sir Henry's engineering philosophy,
  6. To support or initiate projects, competitions and to make awards designed to encourage the pursuit of excellence in design and manufacture.
  7. To establish Foundation associates prepared to support these objectives and to preserve and enhance this great saga of our National Heritage.

The Foundation has achieved much since its formation. It embraces an area of great historic importance, not just in museum form but as a living inspiration to young engineers of today to follow Sir Henry's relentless pursuit of excellence to which we all owe so much.
